Children’s Ministry

We believe that the children in the church are truly the future of our world. As a church, we encourage our children to participate actively in worship. Each week Reverend Gilbert puts together wonderful and well thought out Children’s Sermon. These brief sermons may be focused towards the kids but the adults love them too! During church the kids are challenged to memorize scripture and are well rewarded for their hard work. The children of the church also participate as acolytes for our service and are encouraged to lector if they wish. We also hold yearly Vacation Bible School where the kids get together and learn about God while playing and enjoying fellowship.

Mid-week Bible Study

Each Wednesday at noon, Reverend Gilbert leads the mid-week study. The group normally numbers 15-20 and is made up of people from our church as well as other congregations. We welcome everyone to this weekly gathering to study the word of the Lord! In addition to the face to face Bible study, we also offer opportunities for others to participate in a virtual study.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Our church also holds a prayer shawl ministry. This group makes shawls for those who are not well (both from the congregation and outside our church family). While making these shawls the person making the blanket prays for the person they are making it for. This has been such a wonderful mission for our church.

Fellowship Hour

Our church loves to get together and eat! Every Saturday evening following church we meet downstair for our fellowship hour. The Reverend is always cooking up something good (whether his famous chili or tomato soup). We certainly do not need a special occasion to get together but we do still spend time as a church family over meals after special services or at our church picnic.

How can we pray for you?
